A dedicated voice for Cramahe Township

Welcome! I am Sherry Hamilton, working passionately to represent our residents, champion local community priorities, and build a vibrant, transparent future for Cramahe.

Key campaign priorities

Our campaign focuses on real issues that directly impact residents across Colborne, Castleton, and our rural communities. Together, we can foster sustainable growth while preserving our local heritage.

Open governance

Ensuring transparent decision-making, clear communications, and genuine fiscal accountability in local council.

Community engagement is key to trusted decision making.

It's important that residents feel they are part of the process. I'm proud of the work of our committees and want more public meetings where the community has input.

People lose trust when they feel they are being left out of the loop.

Economic Diversity

Agriculture is Cramahe's largest sector. Supporting farmers and protecting farmland is key to Canada's food security.

We recently received $6million in funding for the waste water infrastructure to the industrial park. It will open up much needed new opportunities for commercial growth in Cramahe.

Improvements to the downtown streetscape have enhanced Colborne. Supporting small businesses and sensible economic development across our township is essential. More can be done.

Infrastructure

Investing wisely in our roads, community services, and parks benefits our whole community. It keeps us active and connected.

With more than 200km of roads, nearly 50km of water and waste water mains, and five large parks Cramahe Township has a lot to maintain. It is important that we create a masterplan to address all of the necessary maintainence.

The municipality also owns a number of buildings that need to be maintained. All of this requires careful consideration when budgeting priorities.

Community well-being

Cramahe is the successful recipient of a $913K grant through Community Health Centres Northumberland to bring primary care to our residents at our Rural Outreach Clinic on Victoria Street.

The investment has begun and they are currently rostering patients.

Anyone looking for local primary care should register with Healthcare Connect. This is the system they are using to roster patients.

Committed to serving our community

Cramahe is more than just where we live—it is a close-knit township with deep roots and tremendous potential. My candidacy is rooted in listening to neighbours, finding practical solutions to local challenges, and ensuring your voice is heard at council.

I am proud of the progress that has been made this term. Much of what we accomplished was impacted by our advisory Committees. I will continue to advocate for strengthening the community voice through committees and public meetings if re-elected. We are stronger together.

I'm getting feedback from the community that this is just as important to other residents as it is to me.

I'm currently knocking on doors throughout the municipality to listen to what residents have to say. If I miss you at the door, I hope you will reach out and share your thoughts.

Strengthening our local ties

From kitchen tables to community halls, conversations with neighbours guide our shared vision. See how we are working together to make Cramahe Township an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.

"Sherry Hamilton truly understands what matters to rural residents. She listens, follows through, and genuinely cares about the well-being of our municipality."

"Her commitment to transparent municipal budgeting and sensible local planning makes Sherry the right choice for Deputy Mayor of Cramahe."

Get involved in the Democratic Process

It's exciting to see so much engagement from the community during this election. I sincerely hope it translates into more people casting a vote.
Democracy relies on community involvement. Being an informed voter will give our community a better election result. It matters that you are interested in politics and it makes a real difference for Cramahe.
Whether you have questions, need voter information and want to express an opinion.... please know that I'm here to help.
